How to Reset Your Password: Step-by-Step Guide

Resetting Your Password

Follow these steps to reset your password in the application:

1. Request a Password Reset:

   • On the sign-in page, click Forgot Password?.
     
   • Enter your registered email address and click Reset Password.
   • You will see a message: "If your email is associated with an account, you'll receive password reset instructions shortly. Remember to look in your spam folder, where automated messages sometimes filter."


2. Check Your Email:

   • If your email is valid, registered, and your status is ACTIVE, you will receive an email with a password reset link.
   • Note: The reset link is valid for 1 hour.
   • If you do not receive the reset email, check your spam or junk folder.



3. Access the Reset Page:

   • Open the email and click the password reset link.
   • If the link has expired, you will be redirected to a page that says: "This password reset link has expired. Please request a new link to reset your password."
   • If you reach the Password Reset page but realise you already know your password or don’t need to reset it, simply click on Sign In to return to the login page and access your account.
     
     


4. Set Your New Password:

   • Enter your email and new password and confirm it by entering the same password again.
   • Passwords must:
     • Be between 8 and 64 characters long
     • Contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character
     • Not contain any spaces
   • As you type, dynamic hints will guide you to meet these requirements.
     
   • Ensure both password fields match.


5. Complete the Reset:

   • Click Confirm to finalise the process.
   • If successful, you’ll see a message: "Congratulations! You have successfully reset your password. Please log in to continue."
   • You will be redirected to the sign-in page.
