Departed Geofence Event

The Departed Geofence event is generated and triggered only for active assets that have a paired tracker.

If an asset at your company is inside the company’s geofence (of any geofence type) AND ignition is reported as ON, the system generates a Departed Geofence event. The event is created based on coordinates reported and the Ignition On status reported by the tracker.

Once the asset is inside a specific geofence, and the system has already generated the event, then additional Departed Geofence events will not be generated until that asset exits that geofence and re-enters it again.

You can configure an alert to notify users of this event via email or in-app notifications.
