Excessive Idling Event
The Excessive Idling event is generated and triggered only for active assets with a paired tracker.
If a tracker paired to an asset at your company reports data that causes the system to assign an Excessive Idle moving status to the asset, then the system will generate an Excessive Idling event.
The Excessive Idle moving status occurs when the ignition is on, but the vehicle is stationary for longer than the Excessive Idle time set at the Asset Group level associated with the asset.
This event will only be generated once for that specific instance of excessive idling. The system will not create duplicate events while the status remains Excessive Idle.
If the moving status changes to another status and later changes back to Excessive Idle, then a new Excessive Idling event will be generated.
You can view Excessive Idling events on the Journey Details tab on the Fleet page.
